Mutley Plain cafe to become artisan bakery

A POPULAR cafe in the very heart of Mutley Plain is set to expand its production of its baked goods and become a bakery hub for its outlets which will soon include a pop-up in Cornwall.

Last year The Early Bird on Mutley Plain suffered damage from torrential rain and had to briefly close down for building work, including the replacement of the floor in its basement and kitchen after water poured in.

Posting on their Facebook page, The Early Bird team has announced that due to demand of the bakery they have decided to bake "all of our bakery products under one roof" dubbing it "The Early Bird Artisan Bakery!"
