IT’S getting harder with each passing year to turn out a new mobile phone that makes a mark, does something different, and stands out from the crowd.

In the Android hemisphere of the phone world, there's no doubt who is winning at that particular game in 2025. It's got to be Nothing.

It’s just unveiled the next generation of its Phone devices - the third iteration - and I've been lucky enough to get my hands on them and test out whether they're still as much fun.

There's always something a bit different from Nothing - in physical and software design. This year it’s releasing two versions of the Nothing Phone (3a) - the standard model and a Pro version.
