Kaiden, 7, dances his way to finals of competition

A SEVEN-year-old boy is celebrating after dancing his way to the finals of a prestigious international competition.

Kaiden Gilchrist, from Plymouth, competed at the United Dance Organisation (UDO) World Street Dance Championships, held in Blackpool from August 13-17.

One of the biggest events of its kind, the five-day competition attracted more than 10,000 dancers from over 30 countries to show off their skills in front of a panel of celebrity and expert judges.

Representing the Stonehouse-based Rhythm City Dance Studio CIC, Kaiden proved himself as one of the standout young talents, delivering a dynamic performance to finish second in the under-eight advanced solo category.
