Jailed over 'mayhem' of six-hour standoff

MAN HURLED ROOF TILES AT CARS FOR SIX HOURS
A MAN has been jailed after he caused “absolute mayhem” during a dramatic six-hour roof top standoff with police.
Scott Hanlon, now 26, and from Falmouth, was arrested following the incident in St John’s Road, Ivybridge which began at around 3am on December 17 last year. At the time police said the man had barricaded himself inside a house, and had made threats to kill, resulting in the closure of Western Road and the A38 off slip. Officers negotiated with Hanlon until he finally gave himself up at 9.30am.
