Red roses are a classic way to celebrate St Valentine's Day

- By LOLA KINGSLAND-WAIN

VALENTINES’ Day is just around the corner. Whether you're planning a cosy, romantic evening with your partner this weekend, or looking for fun, bonding activities to enjoy together, there’s something for everyone.

And if you are skipping the romance this year and opting for ‘Galentine’s celebrations’ with your girlfriends - dancing, laughing and having a few cocktails together - we've got you covered.

Here's a list of just some of the events and deals you can find locally this weekend...

VALENTINE'S ‘TIPSY TEA PARTY’

Home Park stadium is really giving us some great events this year. To kick off the weekend, tonight they're holding a ‘Murder at the Moulin Rouge’ murder mystery evening, transporting you to Paris for a night of suspense and glamour. This is followed tomorrow by a ‘Tipsy Tea Party’ - which they've described as a “stylish, feelgood afternoon of music, delicious treats and a touch of tipsy fun” The tea party is on Saturday, February 14, and prices range from £30-£35, depending on whether you're a season ticket holder - being a fan comes in handy sometimes!
