Homegrown comedians bring shows back to city

Mags McHugh, comedian, bringing her show to Plymouth Argyle's Home Park

Award-winning David Arnold may be a Welshman, but Plymouth is where he lives and he's bringing the laughs home after touring internationally and supporting some famous comedy names.

And Edward Tripp, although hailing from Northern Ireland, is also local and will be sharing the stage with Irish “powerhouse” funny-woman Mags McHugh in Britain’s Ocean City.

Arnold will bring his show to Union Corner, in Union Street, tonight from 7pm, with support from some up-and-coming Plymouth talent. Staged in conjunction with Nudge Community Builders, it's a “pay what you can” event, with a minimum charge of £8.50.

Then, McHugh and Tripp will perform at Comedy@Argyle, at Plymouth Argyle's Home Park stadium on Thursday, February 26, from 7.30pm, with tickets at £12.50.
