AMBITIOUS SCHEME INTO SECOND PHASE
FENCING has gone up in Plymouth city centre as the £30m regeneration of Armada Way continues.
Plymouth City Council's contractor Morgan Sindall is progressing with work on Zone Two of the ambitious scheme.
That area, from Mayflower Street to Cornwall Street, has now had raised beds removed and the area levelled. Work will begin soon to install a small stream, rain gardens and "dancing jets" of water, which won't be switched on until the whole project is completed.
From next Monday, February 10, Mayflower Street will be closed from a point just past the Mayflower Street East car park entrance until next to the Iceland store on the west side of the road. The road is expected to remain closed for eight weeks.
