City groups invited to apply for Co-op Local Community Fund

PLYMOUTH groups are being invited to apply for a share of a £5million fund as applications are now open for Co-op's Local Community Fund.

Local charities and community groups are able to apply to get a chunk of cash to make a difference. Co-op says it is committed to making a difference in its communities, and is looking to support local community causes across the UK that enable people to access food; improve mental wellbeing; create opportunities for young people; promote community cohesion; or build sustainable futures.
