DOCKYARD FIRM PREDICTS 17% JUMP TO £363M
DEVONPORT dockyard operator Babcock International Group Plc is predicting its profits will leap to an impressive £363m - beating market estimates.
The engineering giant, in an announcement to investors, said its underlying operating profit for the past year is expected to have jumped 17%.
The company, which is overseeing a huge redevelopment of the infrastructure at Devonport, described its performance in the year to the end of March 2025 as “strong”.
It said the success was driven by the continuation of the positive trends seen in the third quarter of the year.
