Actor was so much more than 'that' song

I HAD an email recently which stirred up so many lovely memories.

I'd played the Academy Award winning theme to the original film of The Thomas Crown Affair, Noel Harrison singing Windmills of Your Mind on my Boom radio show and afterwards heard from Wayne Bontoft, who has been entrusted with finishing the book Noel began but never completed before his death in 2013.

He wanted to chat to me about my memories of Noel as I'd interviewed him on several occasions when he lived in Ashburton, Devon. Well to many, Noel, apart from being the son of actor Rex Harrison, was 'that' song and the American television series with Stefanie Powers The Girl from U.N.C.L.E.

But he was so very much more. I remember the first time I met him. He looked like he'd just walked off the set of The Waltons.
