Outrage over ICE raid on New York's Chinatown

Officials in New York expressed outrage after dozens of federal agents carried out a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raid in Manhattan's Chinatown on Tuesday.
Witnesses accounts and videos captured the chaotic scenes in Lower Manhattan, where masked and armed ICE agents were seen detaining several individuals while crowds gathered to protest against the action. Military-style vehicles were also seen in the area.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) described the operation as a "targeted, intelligence-driven enforcement operation ... focused on criminal activity relating to selling counterfeit goods".
