DC Budgam conducts spot assessment of Ashura arrangements at Beheshte Zehra Park

Stresses coordinated efforts for smooth observance of the processions

In view of the forthcoming observance of Ashura (10th Muharram-ul-haram), Deputy Commissioner (DC) Budgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, friday conducted a comprehensive review and on-spot assessment of arrangements at Beheshte Zehra Park Budgam -a key congregation site for mourners in the district.
During the inspection, DC interacted with concerned officers and took stock of the facilities being put in place to ensure a smooth and peaceful conduct of the Ashura procession.
He emphasised the need for interdepartmental coordination and timely completion of all preparatory measures.
DC issued a series of on-the-spot directives to the departments involved.
