'Why someone would target my daughter's things is a low blow'

THE heartbroken family of a Hartlepool youngster who died following a brave battle with a brain tumour has been left devastated after thugs vandalised her memorial bench.

Evie-Leigh Cormack's family had installed the bench in Hartlepool's Stranton Cemetery and had it painted in the youngster's favourite colour of purple. But a bespoke plaque her mum had made has been vandalised with graffiti and defaced with someone scratching a date into it.
