Three may not be a charm for Giles at the Boro

HULL City plan to give Ryan Giles the chance to show new manager Sergej Jakirovic what he can do in preseason, with the former Middlesbrough man out to impress.

Giles has had two spells on loan on Teesside, the first during his time at Wolves, and then he repeated the move last January when at Hull.
Talk of a permanent deal has persisted, with Boro looking for backup options to challenge Neto Borges in the Boro first-team. Giles made 45 appearances for Boro in the 2022-23 season as Michael Carrick’s side qualified for the playoffs, but injury restricted him to just 12 games in his second loan spell last term.
