Teenager bit PC's arm for 15 seconds

A BOOZE-fuelled teenager bit a police officer for what “must have felt like a lifetime” in a savage attack.

Joseph Wright punctured the officer's arm, leaving her bleeding as he bit down and “wouldn't let go”.

The woman attended hospital where medics cleaned the crescent-shaped bite mark wound but were unable to stitch it closed due to the risk of infection.

Outlining the attack, Paul Newcombe, prosecuting, said: “On May 1, 2025, at around 7pm [two police officers] were requested to attend an ongoing domestic incident. There were reports of arguing and an assault on a female.”

On arrival the defendant was intoxicated and had already fallen down the stairs. He was arrested for common assault and was shouting: “You're not going to make a statement. There's no point arresting me, it isn’t going anywhere?”
