Special needs school praised for its ‘rapid improvement’

A TEESSIDE independent school which caters for youngsters with special educational needs has turned its fortunes around in 12 months.
-
Invested Education in Marske was rated as ‘inadequate’ by Ofsted in spring last year. Now, following another inspection the Hall Close school has been rated at ‘good’ in every category.
Last year inspectors found problems with the expectations for behaviour and that some aspects of the curriculum were not sufficiently developed. However, following the most recent visit to the school, which currently has 17 pupils aged 11 to 17, inspectors praised the school and the environment.
