BOSS TO QUERY PENALTY CALL
Tommy Conway in action at Hillsborough on Wednesday night
(MARK COSGROVE/NEWS IMAGES)
MIDDLESBROUGH boss Rob Edwards will be making a phone call to the Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) after Tommy Conway's penalty claim was turned down against Sheffield Wednesday, but played down suggestions that he could have a reputation for diving.
Edwards appeared lost for words in the post-match press conference as he tried to express his annoyance that Boro hadn't been awarded a penalty when Sheffield Wednesday goalkeeper Joe Lumley clattered Conway, as the Boro striker nipped in ahead of him to get the ball.
