Potential Boro target could be free in summer

MIDDLESBROUGH have been credited with interest in Blackburn Rovers forward Tyrhys Dolan, with boss Valerien Ismael admitting uncertainty over the 23-year-old’s future.

It remains uncertain at this stage whether Boro will pursue a move for the forward, but he could become available this summer as his contract at Ewood Park expires. Because he is under the age of 24 and has been offered a new contract by Blackburn, he won't be a free transfer, and compensation would be due.
But Ismael has admitted that he is uncertain what Dolan will decide this summer.
As Rovers also missed out on a play-off place on the final day, French head coach Ismael expects Dolan to enjoy a summer holiday before informing his current club of his decision regarding his future.
