Teenager Ace Pijper is set to play a crucial role on both the weekend's fixtures
REDCAR co-promoter Jamie Swales believes his side can still pull off an unlikely aggregate victory when they travel to Poole tonight for the second leg of the BSN Series Final, with a slender two-point advantage.
The decider was scheduled for Wednesday but bad weather forced it to be delayed 48 hours, which in turn has caused second-bottom Middlesbrough Tigers’ crucial last home National Development League match against basement dwellers Belle Vue Colts to also be rescheduled for Sunday (noon start).
Ace Pijper is a member of both Teesside clubs and could prove a vital component of the season’s finales.
