MIDDLESBROUGH will be without Riley McGree again this weekend, with the forward seeing a specialist this week to try to get to the bottom of his troublesome injury woes.

- By CRAIG JOHNS

His current problem that's kept him out of Boro's last two games is not the plantar fasciitis issue that plagued him recently. Always expected to be a short-term issue, Michael Carrick is still hoping to have the Australian international available for Boro's final game of the season at Coventry City next weekend.

But out of this weekend's crucial clash with Norwich City amid two seasons of injury woe, Carrick admits Boro are digging deeper to try to find a solution. The Boro boss updated: "Nothing new from the other day. Riley is not quite ready yet.

"He's had some treatment again this week. He's gone to see a specialist and we are hopeful he will be back in and around it next week."
