Lakshan lashes super ton - but ends up on the losing side

SUMINDA Lakshan fired a superb unbeaten century for Great Ayton - but it was all in vain as Middlesbrough ran out winners.

His innings of 102 came off 123 balls, and included 14 fours and two sixes.
Great Ayton opener Jon Grainge scored 62 as he and Lakshan put on 126 for the third wicket, with Middlesbrough's James Lowe claiming 4-52 as the hosts made 226-6.
No.3 batter Muhammad Basit led Middlesbrough to victory with 84 not out, while Joe Gaudie fired a vital 44 as the visitors wrapped up a five-wicket victory with 230-5.
Stockton struggled to 50-4 after deciding to bat first at Saltburn.
Liam Crooks (4-32) and Husnain Bukhari (4-30) eventually bowled the visitors out for just 95.
