WOMAN BATTLING CANCER WANTS TO TRY HOLISTIC TREATMENTS FIRST

A YOUNG woman has turned to holistic treatments in her battle with breast cancer at the age of just 31.

Toni Shanks was devastated when medics told her she had breast cancer in January this year. However, instead of jumping into the medical route of gruelling chemotherapy, she decided she wanted to try more natural treatments.

Toni, who works at The Roast Inn at Portrack Lane, said she has spent hours every day researching more natural healing paths and is trying to get her body in the best condition possible in order to fight the cancer, including detox treatments, healthy eating and natural supplements.
