Former favourite back to face Boro

ROB Edwards didn't have an awful lot to do with Josh Coburn's summer exit from Middlesbrough, but insists it was the right thing to let him join Millwall.
The Teessider is likely to line up against Boro for the first time in his senior career this afternoon, when Edwards' side make the trip to the Den for the first away game of the new season. Coburn left Boro for Millwall after spending last season on loan at the club.
The striker explained himself after the move that he'd enjoyed his spell at the Den and felt loved by the Lions. After conversations with Kieran Scott over the summer as Boro sought a new manager after sacking Michael Carrick, the Boro head of football was unable to guarantee Coburn regular football at the Riverside this term, ultimately making his mind up to pursue a permanent Millwall move.
Edwards was less than a week into the job on Teesside when Coburn's move was completed, though it had been in the works before he even took up his position at Boro. Despite that, as he prepares to come up against Millwall and Coburn, he insists it was the right call to sell.
