Focus must be on today, says boss

MICHAEL Carrick admits it won't be easy to avoid the Coventry City score ahead of Middlesbrough's crucial clash with Norwich City, but says he and his players must do their best to put it to the back of their minds.

In the penultimate weekend of the season, Boro host Norwich City in what they hope won't be their final home game of the campaign.

They're three points adrift of Coventry in the race for the play-offs, but by virtue of visiting the Sky Blues on the final day and having a better goal difference, their fate remains in their own hands.

Neither side are in particularly good form heading into the final two, with Boro losing three of their last four, and Frank Lampard’s side winning only three of their last eight. They face a difficult task at relegation battlers Luton Town today, and their game kicks off at 12.30pm.
