Ex-United ace in move to Durham

FORMER Newcastle United Women's captain Amber-Keegan Stobbs has joined WSL2 rivals Durham Ladies in a move announced yesterday.

The 32-year-old was released by United at the end of last season in a move which surprised many, but now has signed for Durham. She spent two seasons at Newcastle after spells at a raft of clubs, including Crystal Palace, Charlton and Watford.
“Durham are a powerhouse in the league, a very competitive team for years, and I'm really excited to be here,” she said.
Stobbs becomes the second big signing for Durham this summer, after Grace Ede joined from Sunderland.
