Dieng still has 'way to go' on return from injury

ROB Edwards has confirmed that Seny Dieng won't be fit for the start of the season, and likely a long time after that too.

The Middlesbrough goalkeeper has been absent since December and one month later went under the knife after suffering an Achilles injury.

His absence was always expected to be long-term, with the injury similar to the one that kept Alex Bangura out for 12 months.

Dieng offered an encouraging update at the start of the summer as he posted to his social media showing that he had been back out on the grass for the first time since his surgery.
