Conway's form earns call-up by Scotland
May 21, 2025
|The Gazette
TOMMY Conway has been included in the Scotland squad to face Iceland at Hampden on June 6 and Liechtenstein in Vaduz on June 9.
The games at the start of next month are both international friendlies ahead of the start of World Cup qualifying in September.
After a stellar first season at Middlesbrough, Conway will be hoping to impress manager Steve Clarke in the friendly matches, and add to his four caps to date, only one of which has been a start.
While Conway is included in the Scotland squad, there is no place for Ben Doak, who continues to recover from thigh surgery that prematurely ended his loan spell at Boro.
The Liverpool prospect faces an interesting summer as Arne Slot runs the rule over the 19-year-old.
Hayden Hackney is also eligible to play for Scotland and represented the U21s before switching his allegiance to England.
