Community takes a shine to school pals' car washing venture

TWO young school friends have been impressing people after starting their own car washing project.

Harry Lane, 13, and Isaac Cooper, 12, both in Year 8 of secondary school, came up with an entrepreneurial idea to start washing cars in their community.

They both live in Normanby and have known each other for nine years since they both started attending Normanby Primary School. Even though they have both gone to different secondary schools - Harry to St Peter's in South Bank and Isaac to Red House School, Yarm - they have remained friends

The inspiration struck them when they began cleaning their fathers' cars on weekends. They noticed how much their dads appreciated the effort, which sparked their interest in expanding this small venture.
