Cable firm hits profits of £41m

ONE of the North East's biggest firms has posted increased profits and turnover in what it has called a “year of exceptional trading”.
Cleveland Cable Company
Middlesbrough-based Cleveland Cable Company has published accounts for the year ending April 2025, showing turnover climbed from £456.5m to £486.7m. During the same period, operating profit jumped from £31.2m to £41.2m, while retained earnings at year-end reached £184.6m, up more than £30m over the 12 months.
In the accounts, the firm states it does not provide a geographical breakdown of its sales, as doing so would be “prejudicial to the affairs of the company”.
