Boro switch surprised us - Eustace

JOHN Eustace admits he and his Derby County players were caught off-guard by Kim Hellberg's tactical changes, but praised his players for weathering the storm before finding a winner against Middlesbrough.

Boro’s winless run extended to four games as they once again failed to score at Pride Park. They were punished after dominating for 60 minutes and creating numerous chances, particularly early in the first half, without finding the elusive goal.

It followed tactical changes from Hellberg who, in a tweak to try and find a way to get his side firing again, played with Whittaker as a ten, and then Kaly Sene and Tommy Conway either side of Delano Burgzorg as a three-man attack.
