PREMIER LEAGUE DREAM IN REACH, INSISTS MOWBRAY
TONY Mowbray believes Middlesbrough are closer than they think to joining Sunderland and Newcastle United in the Premier League and is hoping they realise that ambition next season.
Boro suffered a disappointing campaign last term and fell short of their top-six ambitions, finishing tenth in the end after a final-day defeat at Coventry City cost them a play-off spot.
To compound a miserable season, rivals Newcastle United ended Boro’s run as the last North East club to win a major cup, while Leeds United and Sunderland both won promotion back to the top flight.
