ROB Edwards says there's been a natural buzz about Morgan Whittaker in the days since his big Middlesbrough moment against Ipswich Town.
After a ten-month wait and many struggles along the way, Whittaker finally netted his first goal for the club in the 2-1 victory over Ipswich last Friday. It proved decisive too, putting Boro 2-0 up before the Tractor Boys pulled one back late on.
Asked if he’d noticed a buzz in the days since, Edwards admitted: “I think so. He’s been great around the place anyway. But you'd expect him to feel great after that - that feeling of a weight lifted from him. Like he said, his words after, if he can build on that and kick on from here then great.”
Everyone is hoping this now proves the catalyst for the Boro forward after such a tough time.
