Bears snap up talented teen Scott

REDCAR have made the surprise move to sign fast-rising teenager Jody Scott as a direct replacement for Tom Spencer.

Spencer, 25, has struggled and suffered numerous painful and expensive crashes during the opening few weeks of the season, although his enthusiasm and desire to improve has remained.

Scott, just 18, is seen as one of many prospects who have come through the British Youth speedway scene and the Agilia Bears see the chance to get hold of him before he signs elsewhere too good to miss.

Co-promoter Jamie Swales admitted it was not usually Redcar policy to replace out of form riders.
