BANGURA AND McGREE BOTH WITHDRAWN IN FRIENDLY

ROB Edwards is hoping neither Alex Bangura or Riley McGree have suffered serious injuries, with both Middlesbrough players withdrawn early at Bradford City.
Already managing a small squad after a slow start to the summer transfer window, Edwards’ side suffered a blow early on in their disappointing defeat to Bradford City, when Bangura was forced off just 11 minutes in.
Things got worse before halftime when Riley McGree also limped off, in a friendly at Valley Parade that Boro lost 2-0.
For Bangura, it was a blow for the left wing-back, who was starting his first game in over 400 days after suffering an Achilles injury last summer.
McGree, meanwhile, looked frustrated as he limped off in what he hoped would be a summer of putting two injury-hit campaigns firmly behind him.
