THE golden anniversary of a special adoption takes place in Middlesbrough next month.
-
Former Royal Navy colleagues will get together in the town to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the town’s special relationship with HMS Jupiter.
And organisers are hoping some of those involved in earlier celebrations and visits will be on hand for the festivities.
Among those are three ‘Miss HMS Jupiters' who may still be living in the local area.
HMS Jupiter was launched in 1967 and became Middlesbrough's adopted warship in 1975.
