Speed cameras to improve road safety
January 22, 2026
|The Galloway News
Temporary average speed cameras have been installed to begin enforcing the speed limits on the A75 between Newton Stewart and Creetown.
-
The new measure is part of ongoing efforts to improve road safety along this stretch of the trunk road which is a key route through Dumfries and Galloway.
Police Scotland said: "By identifying sections of this road which would benefit from the introduction of the temporary average speed cameras it allows mobile resources to be allocated elsewhere within Dumfries and Galloway."
