The Freeman

These are questions often asked after the November 30 protest rallies vs. corruption where the Filipino people's shouts and demands clearly, unequivocably wanted the corrupt to be jailed and for the stolen public funds to be returned soonest.

- Cherry Piquero-Ballescas cballescas@yahoo.com

The protesting thousands all over the country have been expecting and continue to await good faith and significant immediate movement from the present government vs. the corrupt and the stolen trillions.

Surely, the BBM government recognizes that the patience of thousands of furious Filipinos who rallied cannot be stretched any further and indefinitely.

The Filipino public is not content with recent reports that mention the recommendations of the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) to the Ombudsman for the filing of charges against those allegedly involved in flood-control project corruption.

Still furious, the Filipino people expect not only “small fries” in government agencies to be charged but the “big fishes,” those in top government executive and legislative posts to be announced, effectively prosecuted and finally convicted soonest, no more, no less.

Will the Filipino people’s cries be heard and will the truly guilty of corruption from top government especially be finally jailed soon, this month?
