Vlogger charged for spreading fake robbery story

A vlogger has been criminally charged for spreading false information online about an alleged robbery inside a modern public utility vehicle in Mandaue City.

The vlogger, identified only by the alias "Jaissle," posted a video on Facebook on July 22, 2025, showing an altercation between two passengers inside a modern bus. The video, however, was maliciously posted with misleading context, falsely suggesting that robberies are rampant in Mandaue City.
That same day, a local radio station also uploaded the video, which quickly went viral and caused fear and confusion among viewers. The station later clarified that the video had been sent by a concerned citizen and was posted without proper verification.
