Registration to prioritize new voters

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) in Mandaue City will prioritize applications for new voter registration, correction of entries, and reactivation of records during the registration period in August.

According to Election Officer, Atty. Anna Fleur Gujilde, transferee voters will not be accommodated during this registration period.

Gujilde clarified that transfers from one barangay to another will not be accepted.

Transfers of voter registration from other cities or municipalities into Mandaue City are likewise not permitted.

"Wala pa ta ana karon because atong gi prioritize ang mga new registrants," said Gujilde.

She added that although registrants cannot transfer and vote in Mandaue City, they can still vote in the place where they are currently registered.
