Aiming to boost the local tourism while maintaining safety and security in the province, the Cebu Provincial Tourism Office vowed to strengthen their partnership with the Philippine National Police (PNP).

Provincial Tourism Officer Rowena Montecillo said that safety and security are among the top priorities considered by tourists, which she confirmed as aspects undeterred by the prevailing criminalities in the province.

“One of the priorities sa usa ka turista when you visit a place is safety and security. If you hear something, bisa’g istorya lang, makaduha-duha jud ka sa imong pagbisita... In Cebu, wala man jud tay major nga problema when it comes to the security of our tourists,” she said during the Openline News Forum on Tuesday, August 12.
