BLOOD SAMARITAN, SAFE CARD PROGRAMS

The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) and the Cebu Provincial Government yesterday signed a memorandum of agreement (MOA) for the Blood Samaritan Program, with an estimated project cost of P2 million.
The partnership was sealed with Philippine Red Cross (PRC) chairman and CEO Richard Gordon and Cebu Governor Pamela Baricuatro signing the agreement.
The Blood Samaritan Program is aimed at saving lives by ensuring that indigent patients have access to free and safe blood.
The initiative covers the blood processing fees for poor patients in all government hospitals in Cebu Province in need of transfusion including testing, collection, preparation, and component separation.
