Pam oks P11M to renovate Cebu South Bus Terminal

Cebu Governor Pamela “Pam” Baricuatro has approved the release of P11 million to fund the renovation of the Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT) in preparation for the influx of passengers during the All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days in November, as well as the Christmas holidays.

Baricuatro inspected the terminal yesterday (September 11) and expressed satisfaction with the ongoing renovation carried out by Topline. “It’s really so much better now than it was before. Maayo kaayo pagka-renovate sa Topline,” she said.

Renovations are aimed at easing congestion, particularly during peak travel dates, the governor said. “We are preparing this for November 1 and 2 and the Christmas season. We are already talking unsaon nato nga ang mga tao di’ mag-antos nga in the past taas kaayo’g linya.”

The governor, however, acknowledged that more work still needs to be done, and she confirmed that the second floor of the CSBT will be completed within the year.
