Over P3.8 million worth of illegal drugs seized

More than P3.8 million worth of illegal drugs were seized during a one-day intensified police operation conducted across Central Visayas as part of heightened security measures ahead of the holiday season.
According to the Police Regional Office 7, police units across the region confiscated over 500 grams of illegal drugs with an estimated total value of P3,871,308 from December 19 to 20.
A total of 33 drug suspects were arrested in the operations, including two high-value individuals and 31 newly identified drug personalities.
The largest haul was recorded by the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO), which seized illegal drugs worth P2,646,628, equivalent to nearly 400 grams or about 389 grams.
