MCWD's bulk supplier resumes water supply

Water restoration efforts across Metro Cebu are said to be steadily progressing, with bulk supplier JE Hydro and partner contractors working to reconnect damaged lines and stabilize production for affected households.

This development comes as Cebu City Mayor Nestor Archival confirmed in a public post that the water supply coming from JE Hydro in Lusaran has already resumed, delivering potable water to the Busay Reservoir and restoring service to Busay, Lahug, and Apas.
In a separate statement, Councilor Harold Kendrick Go also noted that JE Hydro's repair team will begin fixing the damaged pipe at Barangay Binaliw today, Nov. 24, 2025.
Once finished, water is expected to flow again to the areas of Pit-os, Bacayan, San Jose, and Talamban this afternoon.
Current production stands at 10,000 cubic meters per day, with a scheduled increase to 15,000 cubic meters beginning December 1, while full restoration of 30,000 cubic meters daily is targeted before Christmas.
