As the country reels from back-to-back disasters—several destructive cyclones and a deadly earthquake—the Senate chose this week to pass a resolution urging the International Criminal Court (ICC) to place former president Rodrigo Duterte under house arrest for “humanitarian” reasons.

MANILA — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. acknowledged that the government’s investigation into flood control anomalies has implicated some of his allies and that many of those accused are likely guilty.

But Marcos made it clear: all charges must be backed by solid proof.

In his new podcast, Marcos addressed criticisms that the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) was being selective in its probe.
