Mandaue skywalks set for repairs, beautification

Nine skywalks in Mandaue City are set for beautification, with costs to be shouldered by the city's business sector and private companies.

Mandaue City Mayor Thadeo Jovito "Jonkie" Ouano told reporters that he sought assistance from members of the local business community and the Mandaue Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) to contribute in any way they can.
He said the city government will enter into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the business sector, allowing them to maintain the skywalks for one year. The mayor added that the terms of the agreement are now being finalized.
