Lampposts at Heritage Plaza removed

At least 15 lampposts, part of the beautification project around the clock tower at the Mandaue City Heritage Plaza, have been removed.
This comes after recent closed circuit television footage showed a student accidentally causing one of the posts to fall after grabbing it last July 1, raising concerns about the structural integrity of the installations.
With this, Mandaue City Mayor Thadeo Jovito “Jonkie” Ouano ordered an inspection of all decorative lampposts at the Heritage Plaza to assess their durability.
Ouano earlier told reporters that he will ask the contractor to repair the damaged lamppost and inspect the remaining ones.
