Rizal Commercial Banking Corp. is posting another strong year for its credit card business, with consumers continuing to spend at a rapid clip even as local leaders urge Filipinos to scale back holiday celebrations following recent calamities.

- Ehda M. Dagooc

Issuing billings surged 32 percent year-on-year in the third quarter of 2025, while credit card receivables climbed 37 percent signaling resilient household consumption and a festive season that shows little sign of restraint.

The bank now counts more than 1.4 million active cardholders, up 19 percent from a year earlier.

Premium clients and high-frequency spenders remain the engine of RCBC's expansion, flocking to elevated perks and digital-first features.

"RCBC Credit Cards continue to appeal to discerning customers who expect more from their cards—exclusive dining, seamless travel, and instant rewards," said RCBC Credit Cards President and CEO Arniel Vincent B. Ong.
