LIFE'S ESSENCE
I felt a deep sadness when I learned that the husband of a close friend passed away suddenly. He was about to be discharged from the hospital after being admitted for five days. He suddenly experienced intense chest pain and, in a split second, collapsed and passed away.
Indeed, death is like a thief in the night.
The whole family of my friend is having a hard time accepting that the head of their family - the patriarch - is gone from this world.
I extended my condolences to my friend and the whole family. I told her "I know how it is to lose a loved one. I was there, once. But with God's grace, we can survive."
