Fire victims get aid from Go

Families affected by recent fires in Mandaue City, Cebu City, and Talisay City, received aid from Senator Christopher “Bong” Go through his Malasakit Team last Thursday, September 25.

In his message to the victims, Go reminded them to prioritize life above all material possessions.

“Sa mga apektadong pamilya, huwag ho kayong mag-alala. Sabi ko nga sa inyo noon, ang gamit ay nabibili, ang pera ay kikitain, subalit ‘yung perang kikitain ay hindi po nabibili ang buhay. A lost life is a lost life forever. Pangalagaan at ingatan po natin ang buhay at kalusugan ng bawat isa,” he said.

As principal author and cosponsor of the Bureau of Fire Protection Modernization Act of 2021, Go also underscored the importance of modernizing firefighting capabilities by upgrading equipment, hiring more personnel, and providing specialized training to ensure timely and effective emergency response.
